BREAKING NEWS: Clay Aiken…GAY?!? Say it isn’t so!

What’s so “breaking” about this “news”? Clay’s been gay since been gay since been gay since been GAY. Just ask Shad Smith, I have a feeling he’s known for a while now.
Slaughtering a Sport for Entertainment
(…what REAL Americans should look like!)
Remember this fella? Good ol’ “Sgt. Slaughter” from the WWF days (now WWE) when “professional wrestling” still SOMEWHAT had some uhh…”integrity”? Is that the correct word? (Probably not, but close enough.)
You know though, when wrestling wasn’t AS FAKE as it is nowadays. And blah blah…yes, I expect some kids who still think it’s real or will come at me saying they’re real athletes. Well, indeed they are. Some of them.. Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley..to name a FEW of the…well, VERY FEW real ATHLETES in “professional wrestling”. Yes, wrestlers are ATHLETIC…not you can’t really call yourself a “professional athlete” right after admitting you compete in a scripted soap opera in a ring.
Anyways, back to my original subject of Sgt. Slaughter. Well, I came across some OLD-SCHOOL wrestling from back in the day, with none other than this true American in the ring. Skipping to the point where he “beats” whoever the other old (we’ll call him “dude”) was, he took to the microphone for a post-match interview.
It had not crossed my mind before that these older wrestlers didn’t have a DAMN thing to say. All I heard was a 10 minute interview with about 10 different ways the Sgt. said he was proud to be American. These guys relied not so much on their mouths, or even flash in the ring, but technical skills derived from REAL WRESTLING. Whether it be “professional wrestling” or Mixed Martial Arts, no longer are the paychecks given to the best fighters/athletes who put their 100% into the fight, but flashy guys with flashy personalities who put more time into developing their acting skills rather than fighting skills.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good show. And I KNOW this sport, and mainly the UFC would never have blown up as it did without adding some sort of SHOW to the fights. The way the MMA product is being marketed in today’s era, one should wonder whether or not to put in more time at the gym or concentrate on finding themselves an acting coach?
